As you will know, ASC is very much a 'Member's Club', so we all have to keep the Club running by our own efforts! When you become a Member, you are required to agree to do at least 2 'Duties' a year - though if you can do more that will always be very much appreciated!
If you are taking part in a racing series, your 'Duty' will be counted as the average of your non-discarded race results!
We use Dutyman to schedule our 'Duties', information on how it is used can be found here.
So you're not sure what a duty takes? You've never done it before? No-one says you need to be an expert, just prepared to help out. Full guidance is always on hand. If the Rescue boat is the one for you, just ask a committee member if you can get some training. If you can offer help as crew - you only need your wet kit. On the job training is always at hand. If you want to stay warm & dry - the race box might be for you. Likewise - help is never far away. Take a look at the links below. These will give you an idea of what's needed. Nothing is too demanding and the entire racing community will always be thankful for the help.
