Membership Levels 2024

There are a variety of Membership Levels which are designed to provide you with a cost effective way of joining the Club, whilst at the same time providing a fair balance between Members in their contribution to the Club's funds, and these are detailed below.  In the text below, a Full Member, i.e. a Family head or Individual, has the right to vote at an AGM or SGM, whereas a Social /Junior/Kayak member does not have that right.  Current Fees can be seen on the Membership Application Form.

Family 

This allows for up to two co-habiting Adults and their dependent children under the age of 23 on the 1st.  April Full membership of the Club, though only one members is entitled to vote at Annual or Special General Meetings. The record holds information about the 'Family Head' - simply defined as the person to whom ASC will send the renewal notice! - in some detail, along with information about the Children.  The name of the second Adult is held in this record, but the 2nd Adults details can be entered in a record of their own, which in turn allows them to receive Club emails directly, though please note a second email address, different to the Family Head, must be provided to use this facility.

Club boat may be hired.

Boat fees are charged at £105 for first boat and £75 for subsequent boats stored or used at the club.

Individual  

This allows an Adult Full membership of the Club.

Club boat may be hired.

Boat fees are charged at £105 for first boat and £75 for subsequent boats stored or used at the club.

Young Adult/Fulltime Student  

This is designed for young people aged over 16 and under the age of 21 on the 1st March, or full time Students under the age of 30, full use of the Club.

Junior (up to & including 16yrs)

This is designed for young people who would like to sail.  As under 16s must be accompanied by an adult at all times, one named adult is given free social membership for the club.  This membership  holds information about the Adult and basic details of the Junior member.

Social 

This allows one Adult full access to the Grounds and Clubhouse, and to join in Club events, but not to sail.

Club boats may *not* be hired.

Boats may *not* be used or stored at the club.

Kayak Individual

This allows one Adult full access to water and facilities (Grounds and Clubhouse), and to join in Club events, but not to sail.

Storage/use of one kayak/paddleboard is included. £75 for subsequent boats stored/used at the club.

Club boats may *not* be hired.

Kayak Family

Allows up to 2 co-habiting adults +  their dependent children under 23 access to water and facilities (Grounds and Clubhouse), to join in Club events, but not to sail.

Storage/use of one kayak/paddleboard is included. £75 for subsequent boats/paddleboards stored/used at the club.

Club boats may *not* be hired.
